Legendary British-Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt is one of the world’s leading interpreters of J. S. Bach’s music. She is the first woman in history to be awarded the Leipzig Bach Medal, and Queen Elizabeth II bestowed her Hewitt with an Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2006. Hewitt’s acclaimed recording of Bach’s keyboard works is described by the Sunday Times as “one of the record glories of our age.” For Candlelight, Hewitt will perform a thrilling program that includes Bach’s English Suite, and arresting works by Scarlatti and Brahms.
