Performance Information
Named for Antonie Brentano, whom many scholars consider to be Beethoven’s “Immortal Beloved”, the world-renowned Brentano String Quartet has performed across five continents in the world’s most prestigious venues. They are joined by clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, a winner of the Avery Fischer Career Grant Award and a distinguished director of winds at Maryland’s Peabody Conservatory. These fine artists will join in a magical afternoon of chamber music that includes Mozart’s iconic Clarinet Quintet.
The event includes an onstage Q&A session with Michael Kannen, a former Brentano Quartet founding cellist and current Peabody Conservatory chamber music professor.

Clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein is considered one of today’s most exceptional artists. Fiterstein has performed in recital, with distinguished orchestras, and with chamber music ensembles throughout the world.
